What are ADL's and IADL's ?
ADL's refer to Activities of Daily Living. Which are basic but important general tasks required for day to day living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, mobility and help in the bathroom. Most seniors in assisted living require help with one or two ADL's. At The Lake Shore it's no problem for you to get assistance with one, two, or all of these.
IADL's are Instrumental Activities of Daily Living. These consist of activities that are less basic then ADLs. IADLs are activities that need to be done but on a less time sensitive schedule. For example, IADLs include paying bills, cleaning, laundry and meal preparation. At The Lake Shore these things can be taken care of for you! With planned meals and a laundry service there's very little to worry about in the way of IADLs!
