Thursday, January 1st: Happy New Year! Join us for a special toast to ring in 2009 at 3:00pm during Happy Hour.
Wednesday, January 7th: What better way to spend a cold winter day; going to the movies to watch one of the latest films, eating popcorn and spending time with friends. Island 16 Cinema offers $4.50 movies for seniors on Wednesday. Time and movie will be announced.
Friday, January 9th: New year, why not try out a new musical guest entertainer. Today we will have entertainment by John Mannino and a favorite homemade, English Muffin Pizzas. Don’t miss it!
Tuesday, January 13th: Come along and stroll the galleries of the finest collection of horse-drawn vehicles in the United States at the Long Island Museum. FREE Admission.
Wednesday, January 14th: Airport playhouse presents: “Love Sweet Love.” A new musical featuring 31 songs penned by Burt Bacharach and Hal David, tells the story of four contemporary Los Angeles women looking for love. Tickets are $20 each.
Thursday, January 15th: The talented musicians of Harmonica Plus are here for one of the greatest shows around. If we are lucky maybe Mr. Marcus will play along with the group. Show starts at 2:00pm in the main dining room.
Wednesday, January 21st: Lunch at the Milleridge Inn “One of America’s famous old Inns.” As you enter the estate-like grounds of Milleridge, your eyes alight on the original building, 1672. After lunch we will take a stroll through the colonial village. Bring your cameras!
Friday, January 23rd: Today is National Pie Day. Come down to the main dining room at 2:30 and enjoy some homemade apple pie with a scoop of ice cream. What a treat!
Wednesday, January 28th: A different kind of Winery tour that is located close to home, Long Island Meadery. Learn all about what Mead wine is, how it is made and sample some of the very different wines. Bus leaves at 3:15pm.
Thursday, January 29th: Our monthly Resident Council Meeting will be held at 1:00pm in the 2nd floor lounge. Bring your comments, suggestions and positive feed back. All are welcome to attend.
Friday, January 30th: It’s that time of the month again to Celebrate all those who have a Birthday in the month of January!! Your favorite entertainer Doug Bittner will be here to sing you a Birthday tune!
